I was installing GTA San Andreas and my computer froze so I had to restart the computer. When I logged back on, the computer thinks the whole game is installed. I can't continue installing the game nor can I uninstall the files that have been copied to the computer because the appropriate uninstall files aren't there. I have also tried reinstalling over the top, but the computer keeps freezing at a certain point during the installation.
I have tried System Restore, done a virus scan and scanned the drive for errors.

Is there a way to uninstall the game so I can try to install it again properly and is there a way to stop my computer freezing so I can install the game properly?
