Before I answer, I need to point out something. The President, while he is commander in chief, is not YOUR commander in chief if you are a civilian. So you're really asking, who would become President if the current Prez and Veep died in office.

Third in ascendency is the Speaker of the House. That's who would become President. This has never happened in our history.
