I know this is going to sound gross but I have to ask, My boyfriend and I were talking and he thinks that if a man has sex with a women while she is on her period they could get an infection or ((this is where it gets funny)) TSS. Toxic Shock Syndrome, (a rare condition from using tampons). Anyone who knows about TSS will understand why that is funny... Thanks guys!

tell the boyfriend you don't get TSS from sex....and sex while a woman is on her period is GREAT...(aside from the mess, which CAN be taken care of, diaphram, cervical cap). Most women don't mind the mess...towels and sheets can be cleaned...Men need to get their heads outa their pants and use the one they have on their shoulders...

Okay crazy paranoid boyfriend on the loose! LOL No sex during a period will not hurt him. Nor will he get TSS. You would have to leave a tampon in for a really really really really really long time to get TSS. I'm talking days and weeks here. So one little sex adventure isn't going to give him TSS. Sex during a period is no different that him getting blood on his "Member."

He is just making up excuses not to have sex during your period, instead of saying he is grossed out by it. Some men are.
Many couples have sex during a woman's period. NO man has gotten harmed by it.

Ask him to wear a condom if both or either of you cannot wait it out till the periods are over.TSS or not, there is enough scope for bacteral contamination as the menstrual fluid is rich in nutrients meant for the embryo and once it gets exposed to atmospheric elements, breaks down, allowing bacteria to thrive in it .

Hell no that is not true and it is not gross a lot of people have sex when the woman is on her period...some women are acctally more arroused..if you do it or are planing on doing it he has nothing to worry about

Tell him the only thing that can hurt him when a woman is on her "period" is if she knocks him upside the head because she is PMSing. Otherwise, he is safe.
