Sugar Sugar by the Archies (OMG!)
Funny you should mention Hawkwind...Space Ritual was the first album I bought. Their song "Sonic Attack" is seared forever in my brain: "In case of sonic attack on your district, follow these rules: If you are making love, it is imperative that you bring all bodies to orgasm simultaneously; do not waste time blocking your ears...do not waste time seeking a soundproof shelter. Try to get as far away from the sonic source as possible....do not panic....
Quite a jump eh? The Archies to Hawkwind....I'm really kinda screwed up too! (lol)

It seems like SUCH a LONG time ago, now, but, the FIRST 45rpm SINGLE, that I bought, was "I HEAR YOU KNOCKING", which drove me MAD, as a kid, - WAY back, in 1970!
I might NOT be as OLD, as SOME on here, but, - just the FACT, that I can still REMEMBER that song, - WORD FOR WORD, - makes me FEEL that way!
I also WONDERED, about the REASON, why I am, NOW, such a MASSIVE fan, of the late ELVIS PRESLEY! Further investigations, via the Web, though, have revealed, that he was NUMBER 1, - with "GOOD LUCK CHARM", - on the VERY DAY, that I was BORN!

Kylie Minogue's 'I should be so lucky' on Cassette. I was about 9 or 10. My first actual album was Madonna's 'Like A Prayer' - I bought it off my mum for $1 when she was throwing out all her old vinyls.
