Yay! Here's mine,

Think of what you're saying.
You can get it wrong and still you think that it's alright.

Think of what I'm saying,
We can work it out and get it straight, or say good night.

We can work it out,
We can work it out.

Life is very short, and there's no time
For fussing and fighting, my friend.

I have always thought that it's a crime,
So I will ask you once again.

Try to see it my way,
Only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong.

While you see it your way
There's a chance that we may fall apart before too long.

We can work it out,
We can work it out.

I am sick & tired of the tirades from both extremes, both in the answers & the questions. Most serious questions are overwhelmed with this type of answers. But I have learned from many of the serious questions, mostly from the links.

Funny thing. I am mostly a moderate. Yet when I express my views, the right accuses me of being a flaming liberal, while the left calls me a conservative. I guess by those reactions, I'm more correct than not.

I never report anything but obvious spam, though it is often very tempting to do so, especially those who resort to outright slander.

When I first got on this site, I was on it every night. Now sometimes a week goes by when I don't bother. That is probably the best answer I can give.

I have found that anything that I want to ask, that might be in the slightest controversial, is either not posted or deleted. I don't violate any community standards. This forum is a joke. Bring back the old discussion boards, with all of the profanity and nonsense. At least some honesty was allowed to slip through occasionally.

I would describe my experience like this:

A heart that's full up like a landfill
A job that slowly kills you
Bruises that won't heal

You look so tired-unhappy
Bring down the government
They don't, they don't speak for us

I'll take a quiet life
A handshake some carbon monoxide
With no alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises

Silent, silent
This is my final fit, my final bellyache
With no alrams and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises please

Such a pretty house
And such a pretty garden
No alarms and no surprises
No alarms and no surprises
No alrams and no surprises
Please

Really, it mirrors the experience found in the "religion" section.

There are mostly just two sides, one side downthumbing the other at every opportunity. I do use the downthumb, but only when I feel the person spewing their opinion isn't answering the question, but instead is using the question as a soap box for their own agenda.

That's my experience. However, if I disliked it, I obviously wouldn't visit!

What I enjoy most is when people provide informed answers, with non-biased links to support them. It can be a great educational opportunity if one keeps their eyes open!

Here's a song to sum it up for you for you...

Lost in space and ugly too...
people act like they've been sniffing glue...
Never questioning the things that they believe

Freedom of choice must be a joke...
just look at all the people that cannot cope...
I've got something I want to say to them...

There's a lot of stuff that I can do...
That doesn't mean I have to impose on you...
If you take offense to common sense...
That's your problem!

Really it's not too bad. I like answering the serious questions that others don't touch. I like a bit of snark too.

I tire of the constant votes on political party not the correct answers. I get really tired of the military being insulted & the President & Commander in Chief being shown no respect. There is a certain amount of respect due every sitting President. Many of the insults come from people who have never voted & pay no taxes.
I enjoy when someone gives a real answer whether I agree or not. They have taken the time to research & not just give insults. These are the answers I learn from & these are the answers I quote to others.

I enjoy answering serious questions that people really need to know, I enjoy reporting blatant abusers, and once in a while, yes I do enjoy engaging in a bit of immature banter. Overall I've found some people capable of having an informed debate, but the vast majority just yell out opinions with nothing to back it up... just what they heard on the news. It can get frustrating, but I think this is an important forum for people to see a variety of stances and decide for themselves.

Mine would be: Everybody Wang Chun Tonight...

Wang Chun meaning people not addressing the issues; just bashing each other.

Too bad this forum cannot be a forum for the civil exchange of opinions...

It has enlightened me to the very wide divide and differences between the left and right sides of most political issues.
It seems that, at least on this forum, there is no middle ground to a lot of policies and issues.
It seems that both sides consider the other side dumb, ignorant, sheep, brain washed, inept, unrealistic, idealistic and so forth - but we all (I hope) know better than this.
It's only the far left that is all of those things..........
