It really depends where you are going within Orange County as OC is a huge place. I would recommend using the train as opposed to driving between those areas. The commuter rail system is really good. Metrolink runs from Orange county to Oceanside where you can transfer to the Coaster to San Diego. Also, Amtrak runs through these areas as well. This way you will avoid what is a very high traffic corridor.

Depends on where in Orange County you are and where in San Diego you want to go. It could be 3 hours or it could be 2 minutes (the 2 counties are next to eachother).

Depends WHERE in Orange County....Orange County is big! Probably about 60 to 90 minutes. A LOT more in traffic, since the 5 is about all you can use......
Once again, for the 1,000,000th time on Yahoo answers, why is everyone's CORRECT answer getting a thumbs-down?????

Mapquest or google maps give you miles and how many hours it should take to get there. Google maps doesn't even need actual addresses; just put in the city and state and you should be good to go!
