I'd be inclined to say "yes"..if not for the fact that the movie was made before democrats became liberals . Or was there a remake ?
Now it can be said it is" Invasion of the brain "..otherwise known as common sense . Willing to give the benefit of the doubt ... it could also be just bad old-fashioned hatefulness .

normal people don't turn into libs. Normal people go through the following political cycle.
When you are a child, you are a liberal. If you are not, you would have no heart. However, when you grow up, and lean how the world works, you become a conservative. If you don't you have no brain.
