first i'm prochoice, second i dont want any kids...i have a friend of mine who just found out she couldnt haved kids and beleive me i fele so bad for her cause i knew she always wanted kids...today a lot of us were talking and someone asked me if i wanted kids and i said no...my friend just exploded on me and was like "ur so selfish! do u know how many women want kids and cant? God gave u this precious gift and you're jsut wasting it", lord i could just go on, of course i didnt even hear her, i dont want to look rude or anything so i didnt say anything...i told me mother and she said the same thing as my friend! now what i dont undersand is how am i responsible for every woman that cant have kids? so maybe i should have 1 kid for every woman who cant! how the hell ma i responsible? can you beleive this crap!

Your friend was reacting in jealous anger, think of how hard it must be to want something so much that you are, at least to her, just willing to throw away. To her it seems that you are devaluing that which she wants most.
That though has nothing to do with your decision, if you truly are selfish, then its good of you to recognize this and plan accordingly, nothing wrong with knowing what you are, and despite what some say, nothing wrong with being selfish either. Mothers want to have grandkids, again you aren't in sync with others, but you do have to recognize that thats the way its going to be taken.
Its not up to anyone else to make your life decisions for you, and if your friend weren't so upset by the recent news, I'd tell you to tell her off, as she was so rude to you, but given the timing, I'd just let it pass.

wow sounds like a bunch of bull to me obviously this girl and your mom both have things twisted many women have kids because they can and then dont take care of them the world is full of neglected kids that were born just because so if you choose not to have kids thats great dont feel pressured to take on responsibility that you dont want and really dont need tell this girl SHE should stop being selfish and go adopt one of these family-less children that way she has a child and the child has someone who wants it...

She is still in pain but there was no excuse to go off on you. You don't have to have kids, not everyone does or is suited to be a parent.
She needs to have time to accept her situation but don't feel guilty. You do what is right for you in the children department.
