Ok, so like, I figure you have to let the bank know, change your voter registration, organ donor info, drivers license, what else?

Do you have to tell the post office or something?

You can change your address online at USPS,com.
In order to verify your identity you will be charged $1.00 on your credit card.
In a previous answer someone said to put in another change after 1 year. That is not allowed.
It is a good idea to notify the post office about 1 week in advance, and to read the instructions carefully. If possible give it to your letter carrier. Fill out the card in blue or black ink, and print legibilly. The cards are no longer read or being inputted by human hand, they are read by a machine, so make sure that all of your info is complete and correct.

Go to the post office, or their webpage. www.usps.gov and they have a really nice packet they lists lots of good infomation, down to post cards you can send people to notify them of your change. I think I did it online last time.

It's always a pain, remember it only lasts a year, you can always put in another forward card to the post office after that too, because you always forget someone, like Christmas cards or people you don't speak to very often. They also show how to notify even your magazines or if you don't want them anymore because I don't think mags automatically will be forwarded without notifying the company (not sure, might consider these catalogs).

P.S. Notify your employer so all your pension, 401k, paychecks have the correct info, that will clean up alot of them.

yes you have to notify the post office if you want to continue getting mail. you should also alert all your credit companies, utilities, anyone you pay money to. any subscriptions you want to continue receiving. the post office will have a moving kit you can pick up that will help you with notifying the right people.
