They are all scams. They just want as much of your information to steal your identity. Just throw them away and pray for them.

any e-mail like that sounds phony.
if you reply, they will get information about you from your IP address, your service provider, etc.

first thing is realize it's a 99.999999% chance it's phony.
many of these come from third world countries and if you lose any thing, there's nothing even our government can do about it.

start by checking the properties of the e-mail. with the e-mail closed, right click and check the properties buttton. you can see a list of the links that got the message to you. i'll bet you don't know any of them and in fact will find some very interesting or scary links.

by the way, never click on a link in one of the messages because it will take you to an address you don't want.

Well, you can check the mail address of the sender and the title of the message, for instance if you get a message like this :

From : jhon@freemailforfreeforall.com
Subject : Various cannonballs

or

From : angela-x67d5@yu56.my
Subject : Troops

or

From : Peter@obscuredomain.com
Subject : Hello !

You can be sure its a load of bull.

Moreover, if you get curious and open it, be sure to do it in your browser and not in outlook/outlook express and NEVER open the attached files.

Then about this money thing, try to type the title in google, for sure some people will have received the same.

Hope it helped.

Nothing to add.
A scam is a scam. When was the last time you got something for nothing?

it's hard to find out - if you don't recognize the sender, don't even open it. even opening emails can give you a virus, and those offers, 99.9% of them are crap. also - if you have a PC and you need good protection, here's a program that was made by Microsoft and works the best without slowing the internet down at all.

Don't fall for that crap. People don't just hand out money. To avoid beign scanned, never give out your personal info to those types of emails or pop-ups-like credit card numbers, social security numbers, etc. It's called phishing-scammers do it trying to get access to credit cards and your identity.

The rules of email:
#1 If you don't know who it's from - don't open it.
#2 If you didn't ask for it, join it, or sign up for it - it isn't real
#3 If you get one of the above - don't answer it and above all, don't "unsubscribe" from it.
that said, if you have a spam button, use it.

Do you remember entering the contest??? If you don't, it's probably a scam. Even if you do, it's probably a scam.
