I am hoping you use this site only as a resource and get the FULL facts before jumping to any conclusions.
All the website gives is a one sentence label of their crime. You can get a LOT more information from the court house (ALL PUBLIC RECORDS).
i.e. If it says - INDECENT EXPOSURE TO A CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF 12
It could mean a couple of things... It could mean that he was a true pedophile and exposed himself to a helpless child
OR
it could mean he had to go to the bathroom at 1:00 in the morning after a night out at the bar - so he went behind a 7-11 that was next door because the bathroom in the bar was taken - and was seen by an 11 year old girl (who then told her parents) <<
Now, what was an 11 year old girl doing out at 1:00 in the morning - who is the real victim here???
NOT all sex offenders physically touched a victim - some ARE pure monsters whom prey upon the weak; however, most had no victims and just did something REALLY STUPID like taking a leak behind 7-11 and was seen by a child -or- downloaded child porn (tasteless - yes : does it mean they are a pedophile - not necessarily).
The site listed is the best free national registry site that I know of. I use the word "BEST" very loosely. It definitely knows how to cross reference; however, I do have a problem with the amount of info they provide.
Like it or not "sex offender" is a the scarlett letter of the day - and like all scarlett letters, it will pass (even though you may think it will not)
Remember, take this site with a grain of salt. I REALLY hope you don't use this site to harrass anybody, but to inform. I encourage people to talk to these people. Most of the sex offenders listed will talk.

If you cant find it do tell me the state you live in and we can find it together.
Do a search with your city or town and sex offender and see what you come up with.
I dont think that you will see them actually register but they will have the registry information there including a picture.

Also, you can visit your local sheriff's dept. and state police websites for your area/state and the list is usually broke down by counties.
Take care.
