I looked your model number up on the Compaq site and didn't see a Network Interface Card (NIC) driver for that model. Did the NIC come with the PC or added later? If it came with it, it appears the drivers may be on the Recovery CD that came with the computer.
WARNING! Recovery CDs are designed to restore your PC to the way it was when you took it out of the box. Use it with care.
If this is a NIC installed after the fact, you will have to search for the drivers from the manufacturer of the NIC. Look in the Device Manager to see what type of card it is.
Hope that helps. Wish I could be more specific.

in case you have the dell service tag, the dell internet site will frequently have what enjoying cards are put in. each and every now and then, there are too many strategies, yet attempt and confirm your community card because of the fact with which you will get the rest. except you pick to purchase a usb/pci community card and setting up it, you will would desire to apply a flashchronic. Oh, and setting up each and every of the appropriate drivers in a listing, you'll want those returned.

You can use "Unknown Device Identifier", a freeware of Huntersoft. This program will search in your PC and list all drivers, all problems with drivers and help to find missing drivers for you.
You can found it here:

First you need to pull the network card and make note of the info on the largest chip, or the make and model from the card somewhere else. Then go to http://driverguide.com and you will have to signup (FREE) then do a search. Its really very easy. If you cant do it let me know and I will help you.
