What is the difference between a headline story and a feature story in a newspaper? Is the headline story and feature story on the same page or a different part of the newspaper?

a headline story is the lead story of the day. it is just a general article about something that has happened.

a feature story is one that is a longer story. it is more human interest. it may be a story that has needed some research - it's a more in depth article.

A feature story concentrates on one person or one aspect of a headline story.
