I'm absolutely terrified of wasps, apparently someone misplaced the bug spray so I don't have anything to kill it with. I'm afraid if I try anything else it will make it mad and try to sting me, what should I do? Will it die if I just leave it there overnight?

I think I'm going to try the hairspray thing, once I start spraying, do you think it will immediately be stuck and not be able to fly? I don't want it to start flying around when I'm trying to spray it.

Do you have any hairspray? Spray the wasp with hairspray...When it dries it stiffens their wings so they can't fly...Then squish him!

Bug spray won't kill it very fast. You'll get stung. Just put a big glass over it. Slip an index card (that's bigger than the glass mouth) between the glass and the surface. Take the glass covered with the index card outside and let it go. Easy, and you can let the wasp do what God intended it to do.

Please don't spray poison in your kitchen! That's where you keep your food, right?
Swat it with a rolled up newspaper, or just open the window and shush it out. If you feel you need a little spray help, use some Lysol, which won't kill it but confuse it until you can roll up a newspaper.

burn a rolled up news paper ,
open the door
and chase the wasp away with the smoke
it will get away from the smoke and not turn around or go through it to sting you

spray it with hairspray - and spray it good - you should be able to swat it easily then ( make sure you pick uo the bug and throw it away as the stinger can still hurt if you step on it)

Spray it with Fantastik. It will stun it and it will drop to the floor. Then step on it with your shoe. It's better than spraying bug spray around your kitchen.

No, smack it with a newspaper before it has time to lay eggs or something weird like that.

Leave it... you won't disturb it, it won't touch you.
you should be cautious, as its nest might be nearby. Do check for it.
