I'm doing an opinion paper on Otto Von Bismarck for my Advanced Placement European History class. To be completely honest.. I don't have an opinion on Bismarck.
So..
This question is specifically directed to those who are knowledgeable in European history--specifically German History.
What were the pros and cons of Bismarck's policies and/or actions. And in your opinion was Bismarck a negative figure, or a positive one?

The guy/gal with a "face" is gonna get me...I believe that Bismarck was a true military person....following commands regardless of political/personal beliefs....he was the water equivalent of Rommel and a great tactician. He was positive for Germany and negative for the rest of the World..
