On that one topic, he is a very good candidate. Where does he stand on the rest of the issues? Until all of his positions are spelled out, I do not think many people will like him except in reguards to his stance on baorder control. Their is ALOT more to being President than just Boarder control.

I like him a lot and he's done much for the economy of New Mexico. But the problem is that he doesn't have the backing or the recognition that Hillary and Obama have. Let's face the facts , those two have the corporate sponsorship so the race for the democratic ticket will come down to them.

I think Gov. Bill Richardson is an excellent candidate for the presidential election. I would definitely vote for him, even though I live on the other side of the country. :)

Bill Richardson has several problems:

1. Nobody really knows anything about him except he's Hispanic.
2. He's running against Hillary,
3. He's running against Obama.

He doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell to be elected President. The best he can hope for is to be Hillary's running mate. Southern liberals will never support a Hillary/Obama ticket. They're too racist.

I think he is a good candidate, but it has nothing to do with him being from a state next to the US/Mexican border. Using that logic, Bush would be a good president and he has been horrible!

properly there continues to be that query about all that overseas funds raised for the party! what's that estimate 200m+? regardless of the truth that if the Feds "formally" clean them of wrongful popularity of unlawful contributions, that a lot funds will reason a public backlash. My worry is that the Dems are keen to take astounding measures to maintain themselves. they are talking about 20k~40k troops for family members deployments, and recruiting a 500k+ para-protection stress answerable to Obama and the Dems, yet no longer managed by technique of the DoD? that is making me very anxious!

William Blaine "Bill" Richardson the third...my only question is that how did someone from Nicaraguan and Mexican decent get such a WASPy name. Otherwise I think he'd make a great President.

I think that being from a border state is one of the reasons that he should run. Thompson from Tennessee is another good one to run.

Why not. As long as he is qualified. If you are not contented with his being qualified as candidate, you can file your petition against him.
