I'd say the HBO series Rome has the most sexuality in it.
I majored in television production, here's the answer we were taught to give. The media is merely holding a mirror to society, and it's flaws, rather than forcing anything on to society.
In truth, I think Americans make a big deal out of naked people. Although, I personally, am curious why most shows only show the female naked, and not the male, lol. Anyway, other countries, like France, have billboards of nude models up every where. They think that pictures of naked people is only a natural thing, nothing to be ashamed of. It really is an eye opener to go there and see the extreme cultural differences in sexuality.

I think on the forefront today are not shows broadcast by major networks, but rather cable channels who have more liberty to do so. For example, SHOtime has two shows, Queer as Folk and The L Word that have quite a bit of homosexual intercourse in them, but "sex" and "sexuality" are two very different topics. Many of the CW shows focus explicity on relationships, the difference between the sexes, and what arises from these differences. Sexuality in the media has been present for quite a long time, from the man/woman news team at the desk, men doing the sports stories, or in fictionalized television, the focus on the romantic aspects of the characters. Society has always been affected by sexuality, but the more pertinent question is how is sex in the media shaping society. Kids are aware at an earlier age, and sex is becoming less secretitive and more explorative than every before.

I believe that it's give and take. Our society (meaning Americans) is already very sexual so the media just reflects what we want to see. Once we see it we choose to be more sexual. The evidence is in ads in magazines, commercials, music and music videos. It's even evident in some of the cartoons that are shown. An example of that is the one for the baby bratz dolls. Exactly why is an infant wearing a tight t-shirt showing her belly button, a diaper and some high heeled clogs with a face full of makeup?

There are so many shows that have a lot of sex in them. Soap Operas have been around for years, and they are horrid. They have no business being on during the day when young kids can watch them. It totally affects society. Look at people like Brittany Spears. I don't think people would be acting and dressing like that unless it is shoved down their throats. Also toy manufacturers need to be careful. What parent in their right mind would by Bratz for their daughter. They look like little hookers. I pissed off my ex-brother in law's mom at my niece's b-day party when I said something about them and a little while later my niece opened the gift she had given her and it was one of those Bratz heads that they can put make-up on and fix the hair...like the old barbie ones...lol, nothing like putting your foot in your mouth.
