I would like to export vegitables & food products from India(kerala) to gulf countries by air cargo.Please let me know the initial steps for getting export licence from India.

form a company and take a merchant exporting licence in it's name. getting an export licence is easy u will need to fill out the necessary documentation for forming the company....visit www.mca.gov.in (ministry of company affairs) for further details.once ur company is formed u can take a manufacturer exporter or merchant exporter licence since u r not manufacturing anything the latter licence is advisable. best of luck

Fill up Ayaat - Niryat Form and submit to DGFT office in your area. For southern region in Kerala Offices are in in Gokulam Building TC 2/1400 Pattom, Trivendrum Ph 0471-2441903 Fax 2441867
