Water is much better for plants to grow. I haven't tried an experiment on this but I'd say that if you gave it nothing but Coke, it wouldn't live.

If you do this experiment, please contact me and let me know what plants you used and what happened.

Are you talking cut flowers or plants with their roots still attached? If it's cut flowers, then I would expect the ones in orange juice and coke to last longer. This is because of the dissolved salts and sugars in these liquids. Both of them are quite acidic though, so I don't think they would be good for growing rooted plants. People add sachets of salts ("plant food") to their vases of plant water to make the flowers last longer without drooping. Coke would have much the same effect. I have no idea on the green tea. There are plant extracts present in teas so it could be better than water, but then again, it might be toxic to the type of plants you are trying to grow.

Actually Miracle Gro is a whole lot better for plants, mix a tablespoon with a gallon of water but if you use Coke you will kill your plants have you seen what a can of coke does to a battery post? It eats away the erosion. But that's my opinion. I have always used Miracle Gro on all my plants, flowers and lawn and never had a problem been using it for 25years.
