In favor, or at least in favor for a union that is the same exact thing with a different title.

No matter how you look at it, it is two consenting adults who are in a sexual relationship and love one another, and who are unable to have such an experience with the opposite sex. Why should anyone be told they are not allowed to devote their life to the person they love?

If you can find someone that you love & that person loves you, it's a wonderful thing. It doesn't matter what gender, race or religion that other person is. If you are meant to be together, you should be able to be together with the same legal rights as anyone else -so I am in favor of legalizing same-sex marriage.

No. Marriage is between a man and women. Not because of a religious reason, but a societal one. Marriage, and its benefits, legal and otherwise, are the "reward" for forming a union that is capable of producing offspring. Without a society replenishing itself through reproduction, the society eventually dies off. To see this big picture view of the debate requires a rational mind. Many people are too emotional about this issue, on both sides, to view it rationally.

I'm in favour of same-sex marriage. I mean, why not? All people should have the right to get married, regardless of their sexual orientation. It seems unfair that so many of my good friends are unable to legally get married, when obviously they are so completely in love with eachother. This issue really annoys me because it isn't as though allowing gay marriage would completely destroy our world. grr. very frustrating topic really. good luck for your debate

I am gay and married...what more can I say about it? We are Canadian and have been together for 20 years...that's a lot longer than lots of straights. Sometimes I wonder however, why anyone would want to be married after the farce that straight people have made of it.

My next door neighbors are Gay and they have been together for 30 years. They are actually arguing because one of them wants to move to Canada and the other one does not. I think that marriage should be for everyone.

I'm not sure. If people are in love, fine. I think that same sex couples SOMETIMES go through relationships like water, though....

I say either marriage for all, or marriage for none. Stop the double standard!

Don't gays deserve the right to be as miserable as straight people?

I think if they are commited to each other then they should be allowed to marry.
