They said they were ashamed that they were from the same state as Pres Bush, while we were at war, in Germany.
Then Toby Keith said that that was out of line.
Natalie Maines wore a FUTK shirt.
She mentioned that country music would have more main stream appeal if it were not for hicks like Keith.
Toby Keith is loved in country music and the country fans voiced their displeasure at the Dixie Chicks lack of class.

which to a country music fan is akin to criticizing one`s family

Now the chicks have had other problem statements with the
press by basically saying They didn`t like to label themselves
as a country act. I don`t think they meant it but fans took
it as though they were ashamed of being country .

I love them. Everyone hates them because they expressed there political views on Bush. They dont support the war and they are ashamed that Bush is from Texas, but i dont care about their veiws
