1980s lovers???

What did you most love about the '80s and why?? I loved all the cartoons and the music?? Should they come back? Everyone says the '80s are back but are they really?? I think they should(all the way)) LOL Im serious!!!

There were some great things about the 80's, but there were LOTS of really REALLY cheesy things about the 80's, too. I don't wish for a return of the 80's in any huge way. Some of the 80's nostalgia is fun, but it wouldn't be fun if it there was too much of it.

except for a few hard rock bands, the general music of the era sucked. the most popular music was mindless synthesizer b.s. and the hairstyles were ridiculous (i honestly wonder if all that hairspray didn't cause the hole in the ozone layer all on it's own) People wore tapered leg jeans and bright plastic jewelry. guys wore pastel shirts, skinny ties and light weight miami vice jackets. and this was the era that grew and cultivated the mullet.

we were in a cold war, and along with tornado drills and fire drills, we were subjected to bomb drills and lived in fear of the end of the world nuclear bomb style.

we alienated people with aids, condemned homosexuality, and women had a difficult time busting through the "glass ceiling". we rarely saw or accepted multi-cultural or multi-ethnic couples. Everyone thought Elton John was straight.

Along with this we saw the emergence of the crack epidemic along with the first lady's hilarious suggestion that "just saying no" would cure the problem in the streets. It was the republican era, with an ex-actor for a president (puppet) and the poor got poorer as the rich got richer in his pyramid scheme (also known as a panzi scheme) of "trickle down" economics: con men have used this tactic since the beginning of time.

but yeah....the cartoons Were kick a**. loved tom and jerry.
