I noticed I do that sometimes as though I were talking to myself in my head. I that "hearing voice," or is that something everyone does. It kind of like a voice narrating my actions. The voice is my own voice always, but just a bit more authoritarian sounding.

Sometimes I hear myriad of different voices during times of extreme tiredness, under the influence of alcohol and before sleep.

You can see by the previous posts you've received here -- that, yes, other people have this happening to them---
It is called a -- Personality Disorder-- and it can be cured OR at least controlled at the earliest stages
Left unattended and in case OF it developing As such -- It can become what is know as --- Dysfunctional Personality Disorder--- this is more akin to the post by the young lady here that claims to be "suicidal"
So, there you have the overview---ball is in the two of you's court !!!

People can talk to themselves when they have a conscience and want to reason things out. This doesn't necessarily mean you are mentally ill though. When you start arguing with yourself and have missing time when you don't know what happened then you have a problem such as Dissociative Identity Disorder formally known as Multiple Personality Disorder. Some people might imagine what their parent would say especially if they're deceased. I think therapy would be a wise thing to do in your case just to be sure you're in control of both of you.
