Limewire is a cool software. Yes, it makes your computer vulnerable to viruses... It allows you to download songs and video for free... unfortunately, once you have Likmewire installed on your computer, your Anti virus protection will not stop the viruses because you gave limewire permission to be installed on your computer and your Anti Virus will listenn towhat you say or do.
The BEST Anti virus software out there right now is McAfee 2007, and it costs money....
I have full experience with limewire and the only way i could stop being infected with viruses was to get rid of it...
I know this is an inconvenience but I rather tell you the truth from my experience and the education I have in computer technology.
You have a great day now and i hope you understand the risk of limewire... I still have limewire on a desktop that i don't really care about. But I wouldn't dear install it on my other computers that I have ver essential files on.

if you can avoid downloading limewire i would...first of all its completely illegal...and from personal experience i've learned its bad...the last time i downloaded it my computer was sent a virus that crashed it so bad that we couldn't even get anything out of the hard drive and we had to get a new computer...i think the problem was the fact that i shared files..so dont do that...so i would just plain avoid it because i dont think there is an anit-virus software...so don't be stupid like me a download it and risk getting sent a virus.

The only protection from Limewire is not to download it and install it, it is renown for being bundled with malicious code apps. you might want to try Ares, It has no bundled programs for ads and spy ware junk, its just a plain old P2P app that runs flawlessly.
