Why do you wear make up? If you don't wear it why don't you?

I just read a question from a lady stating that she thinks it's wrong of society to expect women to wear make up. Like its saying we arn't beautiful naturally. I don't see it that way..I think of it as a way of playing up what nature gave me having fun with color or art rather. What do you think?

I don't feel pressured to wear make up, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. When I do wear it I wear it because I want to, I like the way it changes the features of my face. It mixes life up.

i agree and some of us need all the help we can get-especially me. I love to wear Philosphy make-up because it's the closest thing to looking like baby skin. It brings out the natural colors of your own skin tone and I love to play up the eyes and just have fun with it. We're women-why can't we have fun with what we got and if we can improve on it -why not? I see nothing in this world wrong with it. To much can be really bad but other than that I see nothing wrong with it.

I do wear makeup and the reason is to enhance my natural beauty, and some peopel are just plain and sotn feel comfortable wearing it but i do , but I dont wear so much that u can tell I have it on, thank god I donthave to wear much because I have very smooth even toned skin....Good Luck

Wearing make up should only be used to increase your CQ.

CQ is your Cute Quotent.
Make up is suppose to help you.
Never use it to hide that is where insecurity comes in.

I am very comforatble with no make up.
But I love the whole procedre of getting ready from the hair to the make up to the wardrobe.
Crank up the music take your time make it an experience.
Pour yourself a glass of wine.
Indulge youself

Sometimes it takes me 2 hours to get ready.
Other times 30 mins.

i dont wear make up because im lucky enough to have good skin and i dont want to ruin it. i do only highlight some areas for special occassions like weddings and stuff.

i think everyone has their own reason why they do and dont. I just dont understand how some people can pack it on so much and the colour doesnt look natural on them.

I don't wear makeup unless I'm looking to make myself feel better about myself. I usually don't put it on because

1. I work with a bunch of old people...who really don't care
2. I wake up with 30 minutes to get ready and leave for work
3. I really am not looking to impress anyone

Like I said...when I do wear it...it's just for me.

Nobody makes her wear makeup- it's our choice. I choose to wear foundation to make my skin tone look better, eyeshadow to play up my natural eye color and lipgloss to accentuate lips. I also wear mascara to lengten my somewhat short lashes.

I wear makeup only for special occasions (weddings, date nights, funerals). I find that when I wear makeup, by that night, I have zits starting to break out. Like my pores can't breathe. It does bother me, because I think makeup enhances my looks and covers my face full of blackheads, which I'm entirely ashamed of. But because of that, I don't wear makeup.

It's fun to wear make-up sometimes, but I generally don't wear it because I don't care what people think of me and my skin gets irritated easily.
