I am not exactly sure what you are trying to get at, but I have an interesting story. It is not "never" told, but it is definitely not commonly known, either.

In the 16th century in Germany, there was a cult of men who believed that at night they turned into werewolves, then descended into hell to battle against Satan and his demons. They believed they did this during the harvest season. If they were victorious against the demons, then the harvest would be good. If not, then there would be famine and drought. It is one of the rare times in mythology where werewolves were actually good guys!

Pretty good stuff if you are an occultist, folklorist, or just a historian like me. Since you had this in the "Mythology & Folklore" section, I thought you'd find it interesting.

There are few great stories that have NEVER been told, but there are some that have not been sufficiently covered correctly. Once that comes to mind is the slanted coverage about the Reagan tax rate cuts. There was a lot of sport made of "trickle down economics", but in fact, those tax rate cuts kicked off an economic boom in the USA that lasted for nearly 30 years. Most people want to believe that those tax rate cuts resulted in high deficits. The truth is that after the rate cuts, the money that flowed to the treasury went up exponentially. The deficits were a result of out of control spending by congress. Reagan did not cut taxes at all. He increased them by cutting the rates.

The name escapes me, and i'm too lazy to look it up, but there was a contemporary of Jesus who had an almost identical life story. For some reason, he didn't get the following that Christ did. Always seemed to me that he more than a little got the shaft.
