This is one of those life or death decisions- in an instant- use your instincts -act of faith. What would you have done and Why?

Tie them up with anything available, bedsheets, extension cords, whatever, anchor it to something heavy, lower them as far as you could, and let them hang out the window until hopefully, the trucks could get there.

You are putting her actions into a different context and then judging her without the benefit of looking at her situation. You have the benefit of looking at her actions from a logical standpoint. Her actions were the result of a mother in a dire situation, and to her mind she was doing the only thing she could to save her children. Her act was the ultimate in compassion and love for her children because of her circumstance. What would you have had her do? Condemn her children to a horrible death by asphyxiation and burns?

In a life or death situation I would not hesitate to toss my children out the window...hopefully someone will catch them, but it is my belief that to die from a fall, would be far better than to burn to death. I would probably also leap out the window myself. Not a lot of time for thought.

i wouldn't have thrown my kids out the window i would gather them in my arms and thrown myself from the window in order to try to save them.
