we are supposed to be naming the CHEMICAL COMPOUNDS. BUT.... some arent on the periodic table. The ones that are mixed. I need that list.

for example here are a few problems i DO know:
1) NaNO3 = Sodium Nitrogen Oxide
(the three is supposed to be small at the bottom right)

2) Ca(OH)2 = Calcium Hydroxide
(the 2 is supposed to be small at the bottom right outside of the parenthesis)

NOW HERE IS ONE I DONT KNOW :

1) MgSO4 = ????
( the 4 is supposed to be small at bottom right)\

♥ please help!!!!!!!!♥

umm... hate to burst your bubble, but 1) is sodium NITRATE.

MgSO4 is Magnesium Sulfate.

You need a list of "Ions" These are the "SO4" "NH3" "NO3" type things.

Try the list in the reference below - it contains about everything you would need to know for high school chem.

Wow, you're really lost, aren't you?
Subatomic particles are the things that make up atoms, and include protons, neutrons and electrons.
The things listed in periodic tables (called elements) are atoms.
The chemical formulae you are listing are compounds of atoms, so you won't find them listed in the periodic table.
Try searching Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page
Put the chemical formula into the Search box, and see what comes up...

If you look up Mg on the periodic table (you'll find it near the left hand side on the top), you'll find that it's magnesium

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Periodic_table

S=Sulfur
O=Oxygen

If you look up SO4 on Wikipedia, you get
S04=Sulfate
