After the completion of Episode 3, Lucas changed the ghostly image of Anakin to Hayden Christensen. Personally I think he should have left it alone. Anakin/Vader died as an older man, therefore his ghost should be of the man that died, not the younger Anakin.

Yoda & Obi Wan didn't appear as their younger selves.

Lucas changed the ending. Originally, it was the adult Anakin.

After Revenge of the Sith, he plugged in young Anakin, thinking he wanted Anakin as he was before he was evil.

Star Wars fans hated this.

Note he has reedited the original trilogy 3 times

Simple George changed the orginal actor (don't remember his name but same the man Luke held) which was in the first release of the film, when George made the 3rd release special DVD edition after the release of Revenge of the Sith. George had the young Anikin placed over the orginal actors face as his adult ghost to show the circle was complete.

Nope, Hayden Christensen was "Gumped" into the final scene for the DVD. The original actor in the final "Jedi" scene was the much older Sebastian Shaw.

it was the same actor in the revenge of the sith. i was alittle confused to and i was thinkin how could that happen. u probably watch the restored version of star wars and they added it. it was a collection of all three of the old star wars and so they restored everything and they probably added that, to have a connection (but, a small connection) to the other newer three movies, to show that eventually everything comes together.

Before Hayden Christiansen was chosen to play Anakin, they had an old man playing him in "Return" in that scene; since he was cast though, they CGI'd Christiansen in.

You would think that given the difference in years they were filmed, it couldn't possibly be the same actor portraying Anikin. Bravo on your detective skills!

I love sarcasm...
