Contour means the outline of a figure or body; the edge or line that defines or bounds a shape or object

A distinctive pattern of changes in pitch, stress, or tone extending across all or part of an utterance, esp. across a sentence, and contributing to meaning.

To mark with contour lines.
To make or form the contour or outline of.
To build (a road, railroad track, etc.) in conformity with the contour of the land.
To mold or shape so as to fit a certain configuration: cars with seats that are contoured for comfort.
A line joining points of equal elevation on a surface.

Taupe means a moderate to dark brownish gray, sometimes slightly tinged with purple, yellow, or green. The color Taupe refers to the French name for the European Mole, Talpa europaea.
Originally, the name of the color referred only to the average color of the French mole, but like the colors pink and lavender, the name expanded (in the case of taupe beginning in the 1940s) to encompass a wide range of varying shades. It seems that this occurred because the color of the fur of the mole can itself exhibit a wide range of shades, from gray through yellowish, brownish, and even purplish.

The first use of taupe as a color name in English was in the early 1800s (exact year is not known).

Sounds like makeup! Taupe is a grayish-brown skin tone

If taupe is a darker shade than your skin, you make your nose look narrower by putting a darker shade on each side. If you want to make your nose look flatter, put it down the middle.

If you want your nose to look like it turns up at the end, put a bit at the tip and down between your nostrils.

WARNING: if taupe is lighter than your skin tone, you'll get the opposite effect

At last! A use for that theater makeup course I took in college!
