This Contract Cannot Be Used Against Me In A Court Of Law~

It should all be legal notifications required by your state and/or locality. It is for your protection that these words are put in there and they are required by laws. Basically it tells you the statutes that protect you if something should go wrong. How many days you have to back out of the contract(usually 3).
As for those who have said that the contracts favor the Contractor make sure you are hiring a licensed, insured contractor. Check their references. My husband owns his Remodeling business, he cleans up everyday after he is done with work. He never leaves a mess. His jobs are finished to the customers satisfaction. He does not rip off his customers and most of his business is customer referral or repeat business.
You are also responsible for your own protection, sometimes a cheap unlicensed contractor is getting what you paid for...

i mean they're not all the same,
but usually it will define who is responsible
for things like: damage to your house
damage to the worker, what happens in case
of negligence (the handyman gets hurt or electrocuted at your house) and how you will resolve conflicts.
what happens if you are not satisfied or if you
don't pay the person (they can put a lien on your house)

It says, If I screw up your job you pay anyway, If I don't finish your job you pay anyway, If anything under the sun goes wrong you pay. And don't bother to sue me cause I have it in fine print here.
