Okay... I have a problem remembering a word. I know the word, but can't remember it--has that ever happened to you? It does to me all the time. Anyway, I have to remember or it'll drive me crazy.

It's another word for "bow out" or decline....

Like when you decide to respectfully decline a nomination... or something. Please help...

I just looked at the list of another respondent--it's renounce, isn't it?
