Elementary school: ages 5 to 11 or 12 (elementary school can end at either 5th or 6th grade depending on the school district)

Middle School: ages 11 to 14, or Junior High School, ages 12-14 (middle school is grades 6-8 and junior high is just 7 and 8, in places where 6th grade is elementary school)

High School: ages 14 to 18

College/University: ages 18 and up

Elementary School (Grades K-5) ~ Ages 5-11
Middle School (Grades 5-8) ~ Ages 11-13
High School (Grades 9-12) ~ Ages 13-18 (I'm very sure this starts at 13 as I was 13 in ninth grade)
College ~ Ages 18+

(Some ages depend on whether the children are born in the beginning of the year or the end of year, since school years in the United States generally go from September to June of the next year)

5 to about 10 is primary, 11 to about 14 or 15 is middle school, sometimes there is a junior high after that, and then high school starts at about 14 or 15 til 17 or 18. College at 18.

5-11 is elementary school (grade kindergarten to 5th grade), even though some kids may be a year or so younger or older. 11-14 is middle school (6th grade to 8th grade). 14- 18 is highschool (9th to 12th grade. After that is college. It's pretty much the same thing, but we don't do it by age.

In the U.S. most schools won't let you enroll in kindergarten if you turn 6 after that school year ends. Other than that, we usually run the same ages as you guys-I started primary at 6, middle school at 12 and highschool at 15. I'll start college at 19.
