In general, if it is a silver certificate with the series after 1929 and the condition is not Crisp Uncirculated (meaning no folds, no wear, no tear) then it is worht very close to face value.
If it is something more unusual such as a North Africa war issue then it could be worth much more.
You need to provide the series year, color of the seal, a better description of the note's condition and any other specific information necessary to determine if it is unusual.

Depends on the year, depends on the condition and it depends on the cerial code. Does it have a star after the code? Does the code start with a 0? These things can raise the value. I would guesstimate that your silver cert is probabily worth around $15-$25. Silver certs are worth there weight in silver... which isn't much

Take it to a coin shop and ask them, or go to a library and look it up in a current, coin and bank note catalogue
