definitly guts and courage cuz u have to have a hard 'shell' to face th tough critics out there. and of course, a sense of fashion!!

If you can put an outfit together you're already on your way!
You have to be able to sit still for a period of time and come up with a design that either a designer/celebrity would pick up. You'll have to be able to sow things, be symmetrical, measure someone's body and custom design things for them as well.
I'd recommend a great fashion school like LA Fashion Design. Ever seen the show the Hills? Lauren attends there whilst she interns at Vogue.
Basically, if you really want to get into this career all the techniques can be learned and you never know when you're big break is coming!

the Art Institute has a great program. they have sevceral locations around the country.

its is soooo hard yu need to b able to take critisism and do whatever ur employer tells yu to do and sorta yu cant have an attitude until yu finally make it to the top
