Sounds like you should sell your house and pay your back taxes. When you cheat on your taxes, you're stealing from the rest of us, pal.

Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution.

I will hereby talk from my personal experience.

I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,

a good place to start in my humble opinion is astraight to the point ebook with question and answer I found :

if it helps kindly remember me in your voting!.. cheers!

no one wil loan you any money knowing full well the IRS has placed a lein on your property and on your credit report
you best to work out a OIC or payment plan or sell the house ( and hopefully you come out ahead )
a bank might.. loan you the money if they figure they can get the money back in the even of non payment by foreclosure

if u have bad credit that will be a bit of a problem. try going to some place like lending tree. a bank will turn you down because of ur bad credit. but beware, with bad credit, ur interest rate might be out the door.
