What kind of woman would do that? One who wanted to believe this guy despite all the evidence. This is not a guy who can make commitments, and look what he's put his family through! This guy might sound good, might look good, but he isn't. He doesn't give the people in his life his respect. He does what he feels like and forces others to cope with his decisions. The other woman just doesn't want to admit that he's not what she wants to believe he is.

No, it sounds like he isn't sure what he wants and he may be using you as a rebound while taking a breather from his responsibilities. If you are considering dating him again at least make him wait a while and see if he waits for you, goes back to his family, or finds some other woman to prey on.

Knowing women, most knowledgeable ones probably wouldn't...I mean, I wouldn't, no offense or anything, but...it seems like he can't make up his mind about his life...if he doesn't like you the first time for a WHOLE YEAR!...face it...you shouldn't date him...no woman deserves a broken heart...

i definately wouldn't. my parents split up when i was younger and i absolutely despised the women my 'sperm donor' (dad if you wanna push it) dated. and if he keeps going back to the them and cries back to you, it's not worth it. he needs to pick one commitment and actually stay committed for more than a year.
