Uh, at the risk of asking the obvious, have you actually read the play? It's narrated by Li'l Bit in flashback, and shouldn't therefore be too hard to piece together a monologue from. Even if you have to cut out some of the dialogue, that's a character where cutting and pasting would make sense and not disrupt the flow. If you have found that monologue you mention, why can't you find another in the play?

And if you haven't read the play--why not? Your auditioners are probably going to ask you some questions about the monologue, and if you haven't read the whole play you won't be able to answer them. This is an area where you really cannot cheat--you have to do your homework by reading and understanding the entire play and how your monologue fits into it.

I think that if you are asking the question, you are in for trouble. Better read as many plays as possible and find something that grabs you. Don't use those 'Scenes for Actor Books.' You need to read the play. My advice, if you can't read a lot of plays, call the Drama Bookstore in New York. Tell the salesperson your dilemma. Ask him/her to recommend some plays. Try to call when they aren't too busy--like on a weekday morning. They might feel flattered that you are asking for assistance. But you should read the play.
