dougs got it all wrong 351 clevland was a big block 351 windsor was a small block and was interchangable with the 302. If it runs or rebuildable yes its a keeper. put her in a stang or cyclone and hang on.

the 351 *cleveland* is a ford small block, with as much bore they could muster, the next size up would be the 351 winsor, which is a big block. What's great about your particular engine, is it isn't especially cluttered with emission devises, computer assisted things, and an average do-it-yourself-er can fix it in the garage with a standard set of tools! When you ask a motor preference question, you'll get as many answers as there are days in a year, but generally, the cleveland is a powerful V-8 engine, still small enough to fit in a large number of engine compartments, and yours is from the much adored 70's *muscle-car* decade. you bet it's worth keeping, but having the engine is only the start, and is worth as much or as little as you put into it.

The cleveland motor is worth keeping, its the bigger brother of the windsor (which is a small block NOT a big block) and if he wanted to sell it he would get more money since that what most stang owners want (thats what I put in my 67 stang)

Eww.......That was durring the begining of the unleaded gas and emissions craze. Low compression, and Ford. Yuck

Now a 1966 Chevy 327, that's a keeper.

Sorry... I'm a Chevy guy.

that would be a 351 cleveland. if it's a real cleveland, and not a modified or windsor, then yes. that is, IF you can get junior to get off his butt & find the right body to put it in.
