The fact that you're coming back is just about as special as it gets. Watch your kids while they sleep, hold your wife's hand, go to the movies or rent movies and eat pizza, sleep soundly and safely and wake up every day with your family.

You know what... in your shoes, having faced so much danger... I'd look inside myself and make a list of the things I most want to do in life, what kind of life I'd like to be living, then I'd start going through that list, one by one.
You don't say if you're coming home for good, or on leave. If it's for good - ask yourself what really interests you and study that, whether it's auto mechanics or art history.
If it's a leave - pick a city you've always wanted to see and never have, and see it! Take in every sight you can. Get out of the tourist areas and eat at a diner where the locals eat. Talk to people.
The thing is - surround yourself with things that interest you, that you enjoy, that you think you might like to try. You deserve it!

When you come back it seems to me that the ordinary stuff that you used to take for granted is going to be very special for awhile. I'm sure your family is just going to be thrilled to have you back....and just happy that you are together.

You should spent time with your loves one they must be very excited to see you home. You should go out to dinner and have some fun at a club or something. Or have a welcome back party !!! =]
