Gonna be tough to get there as I don't know the supporting cast is quite good enough yet. Though the East is down enough that anything is possible.

I still think the Pistons are the most likely team to go to the Finals. The Heat is too shaky with Wade's injury (rehab will not be enough) and Shaq may not have much left in the tank by playoff time...they also need to get a much higher seed. The Bulls still need that post scorer, Wizards lack defense, the Cavs are young and still a little inexperienced.

Detroit is the most experienced, 4 straight years in the Eastern conference Finals, 2 Finals and a championship...they know what it takes to get it done.

I'm a Pistons fan.

That said, I think Cleveland could do it. Any team that has a star like Lebron James is capable of pulling off a championship run. Basketball is one of those sports where one guy can really make the difference. You just never know. There is really no predicting.... it's all really just guessing. I hope Detroit wins! I'm not fool enough to assume they will.

That said, whoever does it is going to have a hard time beating the Suns or Mavericks. Basketball IS predictable enough to say that it really doesn't matter this year who makes it in the east. Whoever they are, they are going down in the Finals. Suck.

i think mr. taco was going in the right direction until he said they had a chance, because although he rose a great point, the fact is that lebron himself is terrible in high-pressure situations, for example: he is shooting about 42% from the line in those types of situations (NOT GOOD). but when all is said and done, detroit, washington, chicago, and toronto are the only teams i'd keep an eye on, with detroit far ahead of the pack. and i know im gonna hear some **** from heat fans, but theyre flat lining right now; they went from the NBA champs to being 7th seed, and i wouldve been fine saying they have a chance if they were 5!
and my knicks are, sadly : (, going to be beaten by the (soon to be) eastern conference champs, the detriot piston.

Honestly I don't think so, they rely to much on Lebron carrying them to win. They need to have someone else step up and take some pressure of the kid. I really liked how they played Larry Hughes at point guard the other night, they should keep him there and split the play at shooting guard between Daniel Gibson and Sasha Plavovic. If they do that and step up there play on defense they might have a shot at beating the Pistons.
