Ok. SO for my talent show..we are doing a Richard Simmons routine. In his video Sweatin the Oldies 3, there is a song called Gimme Some Lovin'. I need to know the artist for that particular version! I have tried downloading the song but everything sounds different from the actual version that is on the video. The one on the video seems more upbeat. Please let me know if you know anything!

The two versions I know of that song are by the Spencer Davis Group and the Blues Brothers. They don't suck either.

The video producers probably played the track at a slightly higher speed. This is common in such videos. It adds a brightness and a boost in energy level to the recording without altering the pitch too much. Many pop radio stations in the old 45 rpm days played their records at 47 1/2 rpm for this reason.
