Why is 300 rated R?
Is it only for violence or are there like sexual scenes in it?

There was a sex scene (or two... or three, depending on how you look at it) and some gratuitous nudity but, yes, there was definite carnage and gore in the battle scenes!

Rated R for graphic battle sequences throughout, some sexuality and nudity.
It's pretty bloody I heard

There is a crap load of blood, limbs being cut off, nudity and much more. There is one sex scene, and the oracle has a see through shirt on.

There is a sex scene, and a nude woman who whispers to the oracles.
There are heads chopped off..limbs cut off..people stabbed..a wall built out of dead bodies, and a tree built out of dead bodies too.

300! This movie totally, completely ROCKS!
Yes, there's lots of blood and gore, but most importantly, the men are just...ooh
