Wow. You're really going through a lot! Of course you're tired.

First of all, we sleep in 45 minute cycles. 7.5 hours might work better than 8 for an adult. However, teens need the most sleep than any other age group except infants. Try getting 9 hours if you can.

Depression and grief can make you tired and can make it difficult for you to concentrate or be interested in other things.

I hope you have a good counselor (maybe one at your school?) you can talk to. Grief is a part of life, but it can be a heavy burden if it isn't processed and few people do that well without help. Get help if you need it.

Take good care of yourself and get plenty of rest. Eat better if you can and definitely stay with the vitamins. Running is also excellent for elevating your mood and to burn off some of the stress you're under. Keep up with that! ;o)

I hope things brighten up for you and your family soon!

im so sorry to hear about your mom.....its not the same, but in january I lost my first horse, I had her for 7 years, and it was the hardest day of my life. She was like my sister, or my best friend. losing someone like that changes your life. its inevitable. i already had had a lot going on, so that kind of ruined my life for a while. It still kind of is, so I can't imagine what you and your family are going through. You are definitely still adjusting, but another factor is that us teenagers have a certain chemical that is released an hour later than everyone else. and it takes an hour later in the morning for it to go through our system. we can't physically go to bed earlier and wake up later feeling well-rested. i would check out mono and anemia as well, just in case. again, i am so sorry, and I hope your life turns around soon. God Bless!

sounds like it could be a case of anemia very common in women rarely in men (which is a result of a low red blood cell count)meaning your body is not produce red blood cells like it should. Even though you are taking a vitamin it might not contain enough iron that your body needs which would result in you feeling tired & sluggish & not wanting to do anything but sleep. Try an iron supplement with your vitamin & some ensure or boost as well...promise it will improve

I'm sorry...I'm 21 and in college, and I'm having the same problem. I sleep so much, I take naps instead of studying. I don't have much energy at all to do much. It could be depression. Try to exercise...It gives you more energy and puts you in a better mood. I'm sorry about your family situation, I hope everything works out for you. Keep thinking positive and try your best to work through it. Also you may want to see your doctor if you don't regain energy within the next week.

You should go see a doctor, and be honest about everything. You could have a medical problem, you may not be eating enough to coincide with the increase in exercise, and you may be suffering from depression in lgiht of the tragedies in your life. They can take some blodd, run some tests, and have you see a therapist. Good luck, things will get better.

Make sure you're getting enough iron. Eat red meat more often like steak, etc. Taking a higher potency vitamin really helps. Sorry to hear about your mom. Go easy on yourself and be good to yourself and your family. Treat each other to good meals together and try have good times still.

You are most likely depressed with what is going on in your life. You may also want to get checked for Mono, I had this and I could barely function. Good luck

You have an inner biological clock that is being ignored because you are not a "morning person".
