I believe it could affect all those bodyfunctions mentioned and then some. It can also affect your bodytemperature. But the primary threat would be loss of oxygen. You can only live without it for minutes.Loss of oxygen to the brain can and will cause either permanent or temporary damage to the brain, depending on the duration of it's deprevation. Not to mention braindeath, and therefore also loss of life.

Well it may depend on what kind of damage it is, severe or not. If not necessarily severe damage I would say the lack of oxygen. Our body needs oxygen to function and carry out necessary activities in order to keep going, with a lack of oxygen we won't be able to get energy and thus slowly shut down, so-to-say.

I agree, it's the lack of oxygen. Organs cannot function without it being supplied.
