It sounds good, but no one will be able to do that. Oil is running out around the globe. As it becomes more scarce and it also goes up in demand, so will the price. The oil companies will milk every dime they can out of it.

To where they were WHEN? ;-)

My answer is MAYBE. Too many people base their vote on too few issues. ONE issue is not a good enough reason to choose a candidate. That is exactly how we get these idiots in Congress and the White House in the first place. Ignorant people pick their one or two issues and vote for someone based on them, without taking into consideration the entire big picture. Party favoritism. Single issue voting. Partisan politics. This is the problem with our government right now, and it is our own fault.

Lowering gas prices would definitely be a step in the right direction.... but I need more to go on before I make my decision on a candidate.

That will never happen. They need to find a better energy source. God put plenty of them here on earth. Its just the oil companies want to make you think petroleum is the only source of fuel. There is plenty of wind, water and solar power technoly that it should have been introduced into the every day market. But only our congress and president can make a law demanding these be put to use in everyday life. They are to worried about making the already rich oil tycoons even richer. Why did they do way with the trollie system earlier in the century? Its because oil companies wanted buses instead.Becuase they wanted to make money, even on people that couldnt afford an automobile. The economy would be alot stronger if people didnt have to spend so much just to heat their homes, and get to work. It would help all the small businesses . Why is our education system the worse its been in decades, and has one of the worst drop out rates most likely ever? Our government neglects and deprives the majority of americans of the american dream. When the future of our country should be embracing it.

Gas prices will probably never go down. Oil reached its peak in America in the 70's. Now pretty much the world has reached its peak. You cant just make more it takes like 1000s of year of stored sunlight or something like that. When affordable and abundant oil is no more, the impact will be almost inconceivable. How will we drive, work, the food you eat is probably produced with some kind of derivative of oil. That is why almost everywhere there is oil there is war. So no I wouldn't necessarily vote for someone who could bring the gas prices down.

No.
I would vote for a candidate who puts America 1st and stops giving billions of dollars in foreign aid to nations like Israel and Saudi Arabia.

No. Any candidate that has that kind of influence over OPEC is a little too cozy with them for me. Only crooked politicians can influence gas prices (or any other prices, for that matter).

Understand that NO politician in the world can do this on his own. Do you honestly think he/she can? Seriously?
Tell me you don't think that way ! There is so much involved here than a promise from a candidate who doesn't mean his promise, Or if elected will break that promise.....
Don't believe everything promised to you in this lifetime.
You will be crushed.

Depends on how they did it. If their approach was to drill in Alaska and the Gulf, repeal the EPA Laws that restrict new refineries, get rid of designer blends, and eliminate Federal tax on petroleum products then perhaps.

No. I'd rather vote for a candidate who strived to get us away from oil dependancy.

no because there is no way they could get them to stay down. plus if that where your only standard it would be to easy for oil companies to influence your vote.when you get down to it there are more important issues tha the price of gas
