If you are qualified to vote. you can vote your own candidate. That is your as citizen of that country.

Every adult citizen who is not a felon in prizon is elegible to vote. Whether they vote or not is up to them. Being allowed to vote can be interpreted in a couple of ways. First I have just done so but also it means those who are registered to vote should not be disenfranchised. Florida 2000 was a prime example of where people went to the polls thinking they voted and conveniently there were hanging chads or something that disqualified their ballot. It happened in predominately African-American precints. As for non citizens or those below 18 no they should not be allowed to vote.

ALL citizens over 18 should be able to vote.Non citizens usually have no vested interest in how elections turn out, therefore should not be allowed to vote.
