I moved from a small town near Boston, Massachusetts to Atlanta, Gerogia when I was 12 and I had mixed feelings about it.
Of course I was sad to leave all my friends, my home town, and the only place I had really felt comfortable in but it was also very exciting to go somewhere new, you know, like start over with a clean slate and meet new people.
I'm a very social person and I love meeting new people so I was kind of happy when I found out we were moving into a big city.
I kept in touch with my old friends (mostly) and made plenty of new ones in Atlanta. I still cry sometimes when I think of my old home but I plan to go back to it sometime soon. (I have trouble letting things go)
It was a lot of fun and very exciting but at the same time it was sad but all-in-all I think I liked it.

When I undertook my commitment to "Serve and Protect the Constitution of the United States" ... I did it with the full knowledge that I would not only be required to complete my initial training and service commitment, but that I would move and be assigned to meet the needs of the US Armed Forces.

Throughout that career, I looked at it as something to look forward to ... and although always a hassle ... I did move to each new assignment, and found good and bad things not just about each move, but the locations as well.

NOW ... after my Military Retirement, and now after being a Long Term Single Parent who is finally an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree ... I can say that I am ENJOYING the fact that MY HOME is my own ... and I don't have to move anymore ...

That is not to say my desire to experience the world is gone ... just a bit more subdued ... and I now have the time to take to 'sit and smell the roses'.

I dislike it but in this case I would have to say yes. I hate my crappy apartment and we're working on getting a house. The moving process is the bad thing though.

Dislike the actual "moving", but I love getting settled in to a new place; especially decorating it
