Strange question but how far back does kissing go? I mean like seriously why do we kiss, did we start it for closeness?

Ok seriously its not like I havent kissed someone I was just wondering.

it began with early man ...... as a means of touch...perhaps closeness.....even babies use their mouth to suck and taste everything that comes their way .......we are not the only animals that kiss ..many species do it in different ways

...why are you interested lol. we probably started kissing when a guy and a girl did it accidently, and then they liked it. then they told all of their friends, to try it, and they liked it too, so now everyone does it as a sign of commitment. once you kiss someone thats not family, you are commited to them to a certain extent.
