Somebody help me with this, in the sentence: " the bandage was wound around the wound "
In the first word wound what does it mean ?
and what part of speech ?

wound (wrapped) is a verb in the 1st part of the sentence (pronounced (wownd).
It is a noun is the latter (pronounced woond).

The word "wound" (pronounced "wownd") as it is used in the first part of the sentence is simply the past tense of "wind." The first wound means like a clock woulds(in other words--around)..the badge was around the wound...that would be a verb--because it is an action to wind in around(wound)

it just means to wrap around. Like you bandage up an injury. Its like you would wrap a bandaid around your finger if you got a papercut or something.
